1. What Information Do We Collect?
Personal information you disclose to us
In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.
Personal Information Provided by You: The personal information we collect may include:
- Name
- Phone number
- Location preference (area/pin code) you want to see data for
Sensitive Information: We do not process sensitive information.
Application Data
If you use our application(s), we may also collect the following information if you choose to provide us with access or permission:
- Push Notifications: We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or certain features of the application(s). If you wish to opt out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device's settings.
- Photo Library: We may request access to your device's photo library to allow you to upload profile images or download shared media. Photos are only accessed when you explicitly choose to upload or save an image.
- Biometric Authentication: On supported devices, we may use biometric authentication (such as Face ID on iOS) to provide a quick and secure way to access the app. Biometric data is processed entirely on your device by the operating system and is never collected, stored, or transmitted by FutureSetu.
Information automatically collected
In Short: Some information — such as your IP address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.
The information we collect includes:
- Preferred location: Stored to suggest content based on your preference.
- Device identifiers: Including your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS), device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers. Collected by our third-party advertising partners to serve and measure ads.
- Ad interaction data: Information about advertisements displayed to you, including ad impressions, clicks, and video ad completion rates.
- IP address and approximate location: Used by our advertising partners to serve region-appropriate advertisements and prevent ad fraud.
2. How Do We Process Your Information?
In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law.
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, including:
- To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts.
- To deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user.
- To respond to user inquiries and offer support.
- To send administrative information, such as updates, security alerts, and support messages.
3. Advertising and Third-Party Ad Networks
In Short: We display advertisements in the app using third-party ad networks. These networks may collect certain data from your device to serve relevant ads and measure ad performance.
FutureSetu displays video advertisements and other ad formats (banner, interstitial) to support the free availability of the app. We use Google AdMob as our primary ad platform with mediation to additional ad networks.

How Ads Are Displayed
- Pre-roll ads: A video advertisement is shown before video content begins playing.
- Mid-roll ads: Video advertisements are shown at intervals during video content playback.
- Skippable ads: Video ads may be skipped after a short waiting period (typically 5 seconds).
- In-feed ads: Banner advertisements may appear within content feeds.
We request non-personalized ads by default. You can control ad personalization through your device settings (see "Your Advertising Choices and Opt-Out" section below).
4. Analytics, Error Tracking, and Other Third-Party Services
In Short: We use third-party services for analytics, error tracking, and push notifications to improve app quality and communicate with you.

5. When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?
In Short: We may share information in specific situations described in this section and/or with the following third parties.
- Advertising Partners: We share device identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data with Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, and InMobi for the purpose of serving and measuring advertisements.
- Business Transfers: We may share or transfer your information in connection with any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.
- Business Partners: We may share your information with our business partners to offer you certain products, services, or promotions.
6. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which you have an account with us.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible, then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
7. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
8. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users promptly and no later than 72 hours after becoming aware of the breach, where feasible. Notification will be provided via push notification, email, or an in-app notice, and will include the nature of the breach, the types of data affected, and the steps we are taking to address it. We will also notify the relevant supervisory authorities as required by applicable law.
9. What Are Your Privacy Rights?
In Short: You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.
Withdrawing your consent
If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent by contacting us using the contact details provided in the section "How Can You Contact Us About This Notice?" below.
Account Information
If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:
- Log in to your account settings and update your user account.
- Use the "Delete Account" option in the app's Profile screen to request account deletion.
- Contact us using the contact information provided.
Data Portability
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. To request a data export, email us at support@futuresetu.app with the subject line "Data Export Request." We will provide your data within 30 days.
10. Account Deletion and Data Removal
In Short: You can request account deletion directly from the app. Your account will be deactivated immediately and permanently deleted after 30 days.
How to Request Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your account in two ways:
- From the app: Go to Profile → Delete Account. Tap to confirm your deletion request.
- By email: Send a deletion request to support@futuresetu.app with your registered mobile number.
What Happens After You Request Deletion
- Immediate deactivation: Your account will be deactivated right away. You will be logged out and will not be able to access any services.
- 30-day grace period: Your account and data are retained in a deactivated state for 30 days. During this period, you can reactivate your account by simply logging back in with your registered mobile number.
- Permanent deletion: After the 30-day grace period, your account and all associated personal data will be permanently deleted from our active databases. This includes your name, phone number, profile information, and usage data.
- Data that may be retained: Some data may be retained for legal, regulatory, or audit purposes even after account deletion, as required by applicable law. Such data is securely stored and isolated from further processing.

11. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals.
12. Your Advertising Choices and Opt-Out
In Short: You can control how your data is used for advertising through your device settings and third-party opt-out tools.
Opt Out of Personalized Ads
- Android: Go to Settings > Privacy > Ads and enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (or "Delete advertising ID" on Android 12+).
- iOS: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track."
Opt Out via Ad Network Settings
Please note: Opting out of personalized advertising does not mean you will stop seeing ads. You will still see advertisements, but they may be less relevant. Ads are necessary to keep FutureSetu available as a free educational platform.
13. Children's Privacy
FutureSetu is an educational platform intended for use by students, parents, and educators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age without verifiable parental consent. Children under 13 should only use FutureSetu under the supervision and with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Parental Consent
When a parent or guardian registers an account for a child under 13, they provide consent for the collection of the child's information as described in this policy. Parents and guardians can review, modify, or request deletion of their child's personal data at any time by contacting us at support@futuresetu.app or by using the in-app account deletion feature.
Advertising to Children
We do not knowingly serve personalized or behaviorally targeted advertisements to children under 13. When we identify an account belonging to a child under 13, ads served are non-personalized and age-appropriate. We configure our ad network partners (Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, InMobi) to comply with child-directed content requirements.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at support@futuresetu.app and we will promptly delete the information.
14. Do We Make Updates to This Notice?
In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we may notify you by prominently posting a notice or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently.

16. How Can You Review, Update, or Delete the Data We Collect From You?
Based on the applicable laws of your country, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, change that information, or delete it.
- To delete your account: Use the "Delete Account" button in the app (Profile → Delete Account). Your account will be deactivated immediately and permanently deleted after 30 days.
- To request data review or update: Email us at support@futuresetu.app with your registered mobile number.
- To request data export: Email us at support@futuresetu.app with the subject "Data Export Request" and your registered mobile number.
- To request data deletion by email: Send an email to support@futuresetu.app with your mobile number and a clear statement: "I confirm I want to delete my data associated with FutureSetu."
We will respond to your request within 30 days. After your data deletion is complete, you will receive a confirmation via email or mobile.
